Story:
Valek is the oldest vampire in existence. Created in the middle ages by the Catholic Church when an exorcism went bad, he has roamed the earth since seaking out the only substance that can abide his hunger, BLOOD! Human blood most preferably. Throughout his long existence, he's fought in several wars and accomplished several lifetimes worth of achievements. War hero, colonist, business man, he's done it all. Before the apocalypse, Valek only viewed humans as cattle. But these days, he resents them for destroying the Earth, and leaving it a wasteland. As his feasts become more widespread, and his craving for human blood increases, you might find he gets a bit grumpy when encountered.

Story:
Born of Scottish descent, Drake can truly wear the name of 'Highlander'. Having discovered his birthright early in life after a near fatal accident, he had sought out those that had been able to teach him of the gift that had been bestowed upon him. As time progressed, he became friends with those men history would remember as some of the best swordsmen to have lived. At their hands, he had learned his skill with a blade, and become able to control the emotions that lay behind it.
As an immortal that began his time in the mid 16th century, he has long been awaiting the time when humanity would turn in on itself and seek the means to its own destruction. With a clarity that comes only with the knowledge that you are destined, or doomed to survive it all, Drake had watched in dismay as the walls of morality that had held the populace together through the ages began to crumble, and give way to the more sinister and primitive drives of greed and power. Men and women in positions they should not rightly have held made decisions that effected the innocence of millions. Each ran their own monopoly on the existence of others, syndicates and privatisation yielding profits that rapidly overtook even Government structures. Inevitably, the time came when one of those in power decided they wanted something another one had...and the resulting wake had seen the world torn into shreds.
Now Drake wanders the wastelands, attempting to give meaning to a meaningless situation. His is a hope that is fueled by the fact that if he can survive his right to become the one, he might just be able to make a difference, and champion the cause of those that had once been forgotted in the wars of higher powers.

Has lived for quit awhile know. Before the millinuem he was soldier. Never knowing he was Immortal until the day it all happened. He was on a mission to destroy a chemical factory. At the same time the power went out and the the metours hit while he was stuck at the chemical plant he was exposed to radiation and chemicals which turned him into a vampire Immortal. Sucking the blood from people doesn't keep him alive it just enhaces his abilitys. He know roams around searching for the one place that he may call home.

She originated in Russia. Her Father was an Immortal and Russian just like her and her mother was Austrailian. She has traveled around the world so many times with her Father. Years later after she had been trained well in all abilities of Weapontry her father was killed. Miranda had no way to help him and it deepened her sadly. Another Highlander killed him she feels nothing for no one and is prepared to kill the person who killed her father.. She has had very few friends.. She knew Duncan McCloud for awhile then went on her own path...
Then the Asteriods came she knew they would her other sense told her so.. She was prepared for whatever would happen.... Now she is wondering the Earth for her fathers killer.. Not for revenge ...Just so he can rest peacefully...
