Porkins: The Last Stand
Below is a small vid-recording of Porkin's untimely demise.
Sadly, Jek Porkins' illustrious career came to an end at the Battle of Yevin, the first attack on the Dreaded Death Star.
As part of a secret plan known only to his squad leader and himself, Porkins was supposed to get close enough to the surface to eject from his fighter, and ram his body headlong into the Death Star. Having infiltrated their defense, his next move would have been to find the Central Reactor Core, and hurl his massive weight into it, causing a fatal meltdown, which would have destroyed the horrible machine.
Instead, he missed his last inspection at the hangar, because he had to eat lunch to refuel his streangth after rescuing a kitten stuck in one of the planet's giant trees.
As a result, his fighter was ill-prepared, and couldn't aviod the shrapnel which flew at his X-Wing, causing an explosion which ended poor Jek's young life.
After the Death Star was destroyed, he was honored during the medal cerimony on the Yavin 4 base.
All the universe mourned his loss.
